How the Portrait Is Created
During the painting session, I do not attempt to control the outcome or impose meaning.
Gesture, pressure, rhythm, and color guide the work as it unfolds naturally. The finished piece is allowed to complete itself as a coherent visual form, independent of interpretation.
Optional Interpretation
For those who wish, an optional interpretation may be offered after the artwork is complete. This reflection explores movement, density, flow, and color relationships suggested by the piece.
Interpretation is never predictive and does not alter the artwork itself.
